Custom 100 × 148″ Tab-Tensioned ALR Projection Screen

This project features a custom SCREENPRO tab-tensioned motorized projection screen with a 100 × 148-inch viewing area and ALR projection material.

Rather than following a conventional 16:9 or 16:10 screen size, the screen was manufactured to a project-specific viewing area, demonstrating the flexibility of a custom motorized projection screen configuration.

CUSTOM VIEWING AREA

Beyond Standard Aspect Ratios

Not every projection installation is designed around a standard diagonal screen size. In custom AV projects, the available opening, image geometry or architectural requirements may determine the required width and height of the viewing surface.

For this project, the screen was produced according to the specified 100 × 148″ viewing area rather than being selected from a conventional standard-size configuration.

TAB-TENSIONED DESIGN

A Flat Viewing Surface in a Retractable Format

The tab-tensioned structure applies lateral tension along the sides of the projection material to help maintain a flatter viewing surface while retaining the convenience of a retractable motorized screen.
