Custom Ground-Based Curved Projection Screen

This project demonstrates a custom SCREENPRO ground-based curved projection screen designed for large-format professional AV installations.

Unlike a conventional wall-mounted screen, the system combines a curved projection surface with a self-supporting floor structure, allowing the complete screen to be installed independently of the surrounding wall or building structure.

Designed as a Complete Structure

For large curved screens, the projection surface and supporting frame must work together as one system. Frame geometry, screen tension and floor support all contribute to maintaining the intended curvature across the viewing area.

STRUCTURAL DETAIL

Ground-Supported Frame System

The supporting system uses reinforced floor braces connected directly to the screen frame. This freestanding configuration provides structural support while avoiding the need for a conventional wall-mounted installation.
